Hey guys, great supportive forum you have here. I'd like to take the plunge and shave my head, but I'd like some advice on the proper device.
I'd like to find a device, most likely an electric razor, where I can shave my head every other day down to a stubble/shadow length. I know you guys have the 30 day rule, and I may try that at some point, but I'd like to see how stubble length looks before I go all the way.
I know a lot of clippers like the Wahl Balder come highly recommended, but that's a little overkill in how close it shaves , and the Philips Norelco QC5550 has been suggested, but I don't see replacement parts available for purchase so I don't want to be stuck with that.
So what devices can you reccomend that would leave me with a stubble/shadow look, using it every other day?
Welcome, Ronnie! If you want a close shave with shadow appearance, I would recommend something from the Andis series. Good luck!
Any of the home haircutting clippers with the adjustment lever on them, (like the Wahl clippers) allow you to move the clipper "out" by half a length. This will give you the stubble look without using a guard.
You can also add a clip on guard to the blade if you would like. You can get them as short as a 1/2 guard for the Wahl clippers. you can buy them at any Beauty Suplly store or get them on line.
Beard trimmers will be good too as that is what i used to use
The only problem with beard trimmers ,it takes a lot longer to do the job.

For me, it was neither here nor there. Still pretty quick and to be honest, you need to take your time. Dont rush.
