Hello all.
Hope you're all well? I have starte using shaving oil over gel and cream... Main reason is because im trying to shave everyday and it just seems to be an easier shave and less irritation. (If you ain't tried oil then I would recommend it)
Well, anyway My question is that I have used a brand called Sommersets and had great results. I also like the look of shave secret but not used this yet.
Any other people have any recommendations on what brands to use? Are there any cheaper ones as I'm getting through the stuff pretty quick and at £4 ish for 12ml, they dont last very long.
Cheers

I head shave everyday. I'm retired so I have the time.
I use Dorco 4 blade shaver and Shave Secret.
This works for me and my shave comes out smooth as glass.

So far my favorites are Pacific Shaving Oil and Village Barber Shaving Oil. Shave secret is O.K. too and a LOT cheaper!

I use about 5-6 drops of Shave Secret with Headslick and it works great! Haven't tried the oil alone or any other brands. Maybe one of these days I'll try without the Headslick.

I use a few drops of Shave Secret combined with an equal amount of Tea Tree Oil (I get it in the Ethnic Hair Care section at Wal-Mart). Then I apply Headblade's Headslick. Super smooth! After the shave and rinse, I combine a pea-sized dollop of Aloe Vera Gel, three drops of Tea Tree Oil, and three drops of Witch Hazel mixed in my palm until it forms a seafoam green gel and smooth it on my freshly-shaven dome. Super shiny and completely non-greasy! The shine lasts all day.

As others have said, Shave Secret is great. If you want more diversity, Maggard Razors has excellent PSOs. They have a sample pack of 6-7 scents with enough to get 2-3 shaves out of each scent! I'm working thru it right now

I had been using King of Shaves prior to Headslick, but I ran out and thought I would try Shave Secret instead since I was able to locate it. Wow! Just tried it for the first time today, and I notice a significant difference...so much smoother than before! I will be curious to see how long the smooth feeling lasts before the stubble begins to emerge.

read a few on this using oil instead of cream or gel. i was wondering i see every one talking about specific shaving oils but my question is could you use baby oil e.g Johnston babe oil, and would you get the same results. it works great to keep my babies skin soft and moist and im hopping that i could use this to shave instead. my bald head first

I use a little baby oil and a few drops of shaver secret and then apply headslick with a shaving brush. It works great for me. The baby oil and shavers secret make for a much smoother shave and less irritation for me.
Shavers secret is great stuff. It is super cheap and you only need a few drops.
