I want to share my recent experience with www.headdry.com

I ordered the 3 month supply for 15.00 plus 7.00 shipping. I didn't realize, but this signed me up to MONTHLY membership program. After 3 months I would be AUTO billed for more product. This is not very clear on the site, unless you read the "terms and conditions" page. I figured I would just cancel the auto renewal and buy when I needed, but this should really be more clear on the site.

I received an order confirmation immediately, but no further response until I inquired about the shipping date on Wednesday 03/12, and was told it would ship that day or Thursday 03/13.

Now on Friday 03/14 after still receiving no tracking info, I inquired again via email about the order. No response, so Saturday 03/15 I send another email asking if there is some problem with the order. A few hours later I get this email from Bruce.

Mr. XXXXXXXXX,

USPS sends a notice at first update; your order is already shipped and it generally takes 3 days to 4 days to receive. I will go in the database and look up your tracking number and email it to you tonight.

I received a tracking number the next day, but when checking the tracking it states "pre-shipment" "shipping label created on Sunday 3/16" As of today Tuesday 03/18 it still states this, so maybe it wasn't dropped off yet?

I really wanted to like this product. I hate leaving a bad review, but maybe this will spare someone else the frustration I've had with headdry. I plan to send the package back unopened, if and when I ever receive it.

Has anyone else had a good experience with headdry?

On a side note, the company has an interesting advertising method. It is downright insulting. You can call 623-236-2129 to hear for yourself. Maybe I'm just too sensitive IDK, but had I heard this recorded phone sales pitch before I ordered, I don't think I would placed the order.

Wow.  Just listened to the recorded "sales pitch".  Wow.  I don't think they know who their target audience is.  I mean is their marketing strategy to "bald shame" me into buying their product?  Really?  I don't care how many reviews I see about how good this product is, I will NEVER purchase it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found the advertising insulting.

I just received a Voicemail from the president of headdry.com David Degroote. My mind is completely blown. I will never ever do business with this company again so long as I live.


Here is a Google Voice transcript (edited for clarity) of the message:

HI. This message is for xxxxxxxxxxx. This is David Degroote with headdry.com. Hey, I got word from Bruce who takes care of our processing inventory and shipping and stuff. Something about you, emailing, questioning the order and he keeps getting emails from you everyday or something like that. I'm sorry you're having a difficult time, and we appreciate your business very much. But the tone of your emails. What is it that you think we are doing to you. The the website clearly says allow 7 to 10 days for shipping. Right on there alright. I suppose you have this problem with all people and with interaction on a personal level as well as business. So I'm gonna forgive you. Okay. Your order was shipped. If you don't want it, mail it back. Upon receipt of an unopened product we'll refund your money. If you wanna keep it, keep it, that we have a satisfaction guarantee. If you call your credit card company and reverse the charge after all of this hub-bub, and the time that my staff has had to spend on corresponding with you attentively, I'm going to file a lawsuit against you for any damages okay. So if you wanna keep the product keep it, if you don't, mail it back, when i get it back, I will give you your money back less the shipping that we paid okay. If you have any questions this is my personal cellphone. It's (xxx) xxx-xxxx. I'm the president of the company. Thank you very much.

I would not have cared if the package took a month to arrive. My problem is the treatment I received.

The videos on that website are just odd! The guy in them comes across as smarmy.

I agree Mike & Doug. AFAIK the guy in the video is president David. This is the first time I've ever written a bad review or had such an awful experience like this. I'm really just amazed.

Thanks! I won't be buying from this company.  It seems to me that they are putting baby butt cream and sunscreen in a bottle and selling it as some revolutionary cream. Not to mention the comment in the video, that says, if your head is greasy people won't take you serious. This company is a joke!

update: as of today the USPS tracking that they gave me still shows "electric shipping info received" & "pre-shipment" with no other tracking info. So I guess it never shipped. This is exactly why I was upset with them in the first place. They kept giving me the runaround about shipping the product, and when I inquired they were rude. Had they just said to me "It will be X number of days before we can ship", I would have been perfectly happy. Maybe its just a scam IDK.

On a good note I did finally receive a refund notice from headdry and can close this chapter. 8)

My friends and I at work have been calling the phone # for Headdry and putting it on speaker phone. Absolutely hilarious.  :*)) :*)) :*)) :*)) :*))
