Bolohead:
I'm one that is very lucky to work in the outdoors most of the day, with the exception of getting in and out of my company truck to drive from locate to locate, so my exposure to the sun is more than others but less than those that are totally in the sun all day.
My head has tanned very nicely and caught up to my face rather rappidly making me look like I have been Sly all my life. I'm going to be laying out to get the rest of me tan.. the parts of me that are not exposed to normal every day sun life ::) I still have the shorts and T-Shirt (farmers tan) on the upper body, and since I will going back to Hawaii in March I want everything to match !B@

You can always try sunless tanning lotion to build the base, then layout with a lower SPF on the scalp, higher on the face. My virgin scalp was whiter than Christmas, but I worked outside for the weekend w/o a hat and it tanned it out, plus I drove around in my convertible Miata.
