Author Topic: my father shaved my head since i was a baby when i turned 18 it wont grow!  (Read 6351 times)

like i was saying my dad ever since i can remember wet razor shaved my head bald and my brothers he was a strict retired marine and would shave his head with this old fashion replace the old rasor blade type razor any way i am now 18 and trying to grow hair my brother mike has a full head i have been trying since aug 14th of this year and only some patchy fuzz should i just continue to have him shave it ? i would like to see what i would look like with hair or have i some how by always wearing ball caps and the shaving going to be bald permantly any one else have this happen to them? help

Fullmaine, it sounds odd that you would lose your ability to grow hair from your dad shaving it, especially if your brother is able to grow hair.  If it's growing in patches, it could be that your dad hid that fact that you might have a scalp condition by shaving your head.  You should go see a dermatologist about this.

Welcome to the group dude.  Yeah you been sly for  18 years why start now?  Being it is halloween time go to walmart buy ya a wig and put that on....that woudl be enough to scare ya back to being bald.  I know it would me.  Well bro Thanks for sharing...post up and put a pic up so we can all see ya

P.S.  Looking back, since I have MPB...wish my parents would have shaved my head earlier(reflecting back on my mother's think hair, high forehead...and my father's receding hairline...)
