Welcome, you look great shaven. I am considerably older but have always liked very short hair and now shaven. I am in the Austin metro area.

Day 3: I went to my local HEB (grocery store for those of you who've never been to Texas, I've heard its like a Krogers) and got a ATX Headblade and some Headslick. Just finished trying it out and I love it so far! So easy to use. Compared to yesterday and the day before (when I first shaved) I feel I have more control over the razor. Before I think I was being too forceful, but after reading I found I should let the razor glide over my head and with the ATX it helps remind me to do that. I have a question though as I'm still very new to shaving (the facial hair I have/had I hardly ever shaved sense I never had to shave except maybe once every 2 weeks to a month). I see alot of shaving cream on the back of the blades.. I do my best to rinse often and it still will stay there. Today I blew on it and it got a majority off. Is there anything I should do when I'm done to keep it cleaner? I've seen people say use baby oil, but I wasn't sure what type of razor/blades they are using.
@bennett11 Nice!! Busy busy area... Im about an hour to an hour and a half north of you! (Belton)
@fcb2001 I have issues with facial hair >.< my hair grows in really really thin and slow so its a little weird.. Although from time to time I let my chin hair grow out.. Had I known at the time I was gonna go completely sly I would have kept it >.<. Its sorta like how yours is, but way thinner lol.

Welcome to the forum Lith. Good choice on shaving smooth. Sounds like you're glad you did.

Time to experiment and start with a new project! Experiment with the facial hair, especially if you've had it in the past. Everyone's facial hair grows just as diversely as the hair on top of our head. As you'll find in the beard section, unless your hair grows extremely fast, most say it'll take a good two to three months for a beard to look full. Of course that depends on how full you want it.
I have patchy areas around my beard still, but I've learned to accept it and to be quite honest, no one has ever made mention or commented on it. I just get the "I really like your bald and bearded look". So don't overthink it, and just go for it. You went for it with going sly, now go for it with growing the beard. I guarantee you won't regret it.

Hi, Gregory, and welcome to the forum. You seem to fit right in. Thanks for posting your photos, especially the "lather up" one (I always enjoy those). You can try a beard if you like; if it doesn't work out, you can shave it off. You really rock the bald look.

welcome Lith! I haven't been with the board that long; but i do agree with you that it is an AWESOME community.
I have the same problem with my ATX and even my HB sport where headslick accumulates in the blade cartridge. I shave my head while in the shower - so, if I get an accumulation that regular rinsing doesn't get rid of, I'll put the shower head on a one of the higher speeds and that seems to blow a lot of the residue out of there.

Yea, I've been shaving once I get out of the shower and my water pressure in my bathroom is HORIBLE. I end up when I'm done, rinsing it in the hall bathroom. Where the water pressure is REDICULOUS!

welcome to SBG, the sly look looks great on you, sounds like you have made the right decision and that you are very happy with it. It sounds like maybe you have always been a BaldGuy screaming to get out. My 19 month daughter also loves my Bald head, she kisses my head every night, melts my heart like something fierce! anyways glad to see you here. I look forward to your posts.

we have alot in common, I was 19 when i shaved for the first time in 1995-96, I had really long hair and got tired of taking care of it, so one day i just decided im done and shaved it all off, i was hooked after the first time and have been Bald ever since. Cant see it being any other way!
