Looks good but beware the Oz sun until your head tans a bit.
Found that one out on the weekend playing basketball. Thankfully a friend had a spare do-rag!

Well it was all good responses right up until I came across the only other bald shaved guy in the office. I figured if anyone should be good about this transition it would be him but I should have expected it. He was the one person that had commented on my thinning hair in the past.
I've seen this before, and I don't understand it. But in the workplace where there is one shaved head guy, occasionally jealousy surfaces when another guy goes Sly.
I work in a huge organization with 10,000+ employees and each department averages 200 or so. If a department has multiple Sly guys all is well. If the department has a lone sly guy and another enters the scene there
may be issues. Not always, but I've seen it more than once.
Regardless, just move forward with your great new look.

Thanks for the update, MrDip. I'm glad it went well. It does look good on you. Frontier Guy said what I was thinking.... the only negative comment being from the only other Sly guy is all about jealousy and you moving in on his uniqueness and sharing the spotlight. He will get over it... lol.

MrDip,
That guy sounds like as ass. Sounds like he might be insecure about himself and so he tries to put others down to feel better about himself. He should have been the one person who was there to support you.
You are a good guy choosing to laugh it off. He's not worth any other reaction. You look good - enjoy your new slyness!

I completely agree with Mike E. P. Whether he was attempting a "bonding" kind of joke or was acting out of insecurity, the man is an ass.
Good for you for not stooping to his level.
And, yeah, you look good, sir.

You look good with the buzz and beard, Mr. Dip. As for your "friend" well I have nothing to add...You handled him well, and keep us posted on your journey to sly!

Thanks for all the replies and support. Had a work lunch function yesterday and the CEO who's also going bald but still wears it as is, commented that I'd made a brave move with my new hairstyle ! Feeling

Chances are the CEO will follow your lead to a shaved head. Go for it.
