I second the ice cube rub.
so guys, I am already at my 4th attempt at shaving the head.
so far, it's been good with a Mach3.
I also tried the ice cube rub and I finds it to be extremely cooling.

many thanks for all the kind advices.
Keep at it Ridzky.
I've been shaving for a little over a month and have gotten a pretty solid routine and am down to under 10 minutes. I do shave AGT, from the front to the top of the head first and then from the neck up to the top of the head. I take fairly long strokes and rinse often. A few areas need a couple of extra passes, mainly the sides of the head, but I end up with a smooth skull with no irritation. Btw, I shave the skull every other day.
I'm curious, why the Mach 3 over the Fusion? I started out with a Mach 3 and accidentally used my Fusion Proglide one day and have been stuck on that ever since. The Proglide gave me a smoother shave and I like the 6th blade to shave around the ears and my sideburns.
I only use King of Shaves Shave moisturizer after my shaves. Nowt else. Never used an ice cub. Is it that good?
Also, should one use after shave on the head? What purpose would it be for and wouldnt your head sting!?
I never have tried the ice cube either, and I never have had a problem with aftershave applied to my scalp. I do it daily.
Take your time on Against the grain. No necessity to do that. Just when you are ready. When you start, take it easy. Don't scrape your head to hard that it's painful or you bleed. Or add more lube.
No rush. Take your time.
