Proud chrome dome
« on: October 21, 2013, 11:59:53 AM »
Hey all, I’m bald and loving it. I started to get a very large ‘part’ on the back of my head back in the ‘80s, and was in complete denial of the inevitable. After attempts to fluff it up in the middle, and growing it long on the sides to compensate, in ’02 I finally took the plunge and shaved it off. My wife hated it, so I grew it back. After progressively cutting it shorter and shorter over the course of a few years, I shaved it again in ’05, and she finally decided she liked it. I’ve had nothing but complements about my grooming choice, and can’t imagine doing anything else.  Thanks to the advice on some of the threads, I just ordered some HeadSlick products to see if I can improve on the overall comfort of my daily shaving ritual. Looking forward to contributing, and learning from you ‘sage’ bald guys.

Welcome Wayno!
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

Welcome wayno!!

Wow, from 2005 and still you find ideas and wisdom from the threads on SBG, that is wonderful. You look great and the sly look does suit you very well. I must say I lived in denial too for a long time, and I did love the buzzing of my hair (especially in the summer), but time came to realize what was needed and shave. I love it too.

Hope to see you around and your story and advice will help others find support and encouragement for sure!

P.S. I use HeadSlick as well, the shave lotions are terrific.
