Trimming Eyebrows
« on: July 06, 2007, 12:42:59 PM »
You young guys won't know anything about this....

What do you do about your eyebrows?  Trim them yourself?  What tools do you use?  Since we don't go to barbers anymore, it takes a little self maintenence.

Don't get me started about the nose and ear hair.  Now I know where the hair from my head went.

Max, I got one of these little personal trimmers that runs on 1 AAA battery.  I think I paid 5 bucks for it about a year ago.  Eyebrows, nose and ear hair are about the only things they are good for.

Ha ha - yep. I know what you mean herronm -- there's nothing worse than having a good shave only to notice later that you've missed one really long hair growing from the rim of your ear!  Ever get those?

It's the curse of getting older.  Hair falls out but grows where you don't want -- nose, outside and inside of ears, etc.
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

I use a clippers set on 1, at first I was a little concerned about it, but turns out it works quite well for me.

I call it the landslide effect.

If that's a getting older problem I'm screwed- already have the same problems at 23! I just took the beard trimmer to my eyebrows, at like a two guard. It worked well for me, and now that you mention it I need to hit them again.

For the eyebrows I use a comb and scissors.

I comb the hair straight down and then trim straight across, parallel with the main brow, then comb across from center to end.  AND I do it all while wearing bi-focals!   :D

I havent had to do that yet...but i have "PLUCKED" a few wild ones out of my brow.  Nose hairs..oh dont even go there....them darn things...i hate it when one starts to creap out of there and it starts to tickle.  Gettin old isnt fun...but I dont feel old ..yet.....just some things on my body are tellin me that Im starting to get old.  I know I think with gettin old..there should be less and less of things..not more and more. LOL....cant wait to see us all in like 10 years.....bad image bad image

I trim mine sometimes. I use the precision blade on the back of the gillette fusion. Works great.
