Yeah, I don't understand what's funny either. My name is Marshal. . .which was already taken. I'm also an amateur artist and a professional clinical psychologist. Perhaps that provides some perspective for you.
I am still of the opinion that it is inappropriate to impune someone's gender identity. I don't think that's funny at all. -

Now that's funny!!!!!!! What you think doesn't offend me. I don't get offended very easily.
There does come a time when it's time to stop beating on it and since you're the only one that has complained about it... well, never mind.

Look.. to each his own. If you think waxing will work for you, please try it! But please come back to the Forum and give us your thoughts on it. I'm not sure we've ever had anyone on the Forum that has tried it.
I can tell you this... not for me. I don't even like plucking stray nose hairs!! Ouch! -

If your hair grows reasonably fast, the best way to get a longer lasting shave is to get as smooth of a shave as you can. If you can get a nice and close shave you can probably shave every other day. when you're putting lotion on after you shave don't be afraid to run your razor over areas that feel like they need it (no shaving cream just run the bladeover those areas).

I've never tried it, but I will admit that the thought has crossed my mind to try it -- albeit on a very limited basis. I'd like to get rid of the stragglers I have left on top and the remnants of my hairline. It would be nice not to have to shave the top of my head. I don't think there would be much, if any, pain involved. Once in a while on a day I haven't shaved, I'll pluck out a few hairs on top with a tweezers, it's amazing how quickly and painlessly they come loose. After a couple of waxing sessions they'd probably disappear for good.
There's no way I would attempt to apply hot wax to my scalp on my own, and I don't have the patience to grow the hair out long enough for the wax to grab hold, so I've never tried it. I would not even think about trying it on the fringe area. That would be extremely painful and I imagine it could probably lead to a lot of ingrown hairs and scalp irritation. I have very sensitive skin so I wouldn't be a good candidate for that type of experiment. Thank goodness shaving is easy and relatively painless.

It wasn't what you said that was funny. You stated your thoughts, all good on that count.
What I found funny, more ironic I guess, was that I had originally, accidentally, attributed the quote to Cave Dweller. Now read your original post, and think of that being typed by a person using the name "Cave Dweller".....

I'm diggin the Sly look but who knows what the future holds. Perhaps down the road I'll go back. That is what has me worried about waxing, the after effects.
The reason I had interest is because my head is white. I mean glow in the dark white. And I don't tan. I go from white, to red, back to white. Certain parts of me tan, the parts that see sun every single day. My arms, face, and legs. But that's it.
My hair is dark, so I see the dark shadow all the time, even after a fresh shave. Maybe I notice it so much because of my glowy white scalp. -

The whiteness does go away eventually -- or at least it becomes less pronounced. It just takes time for your scalp, which has hasn't seen the light of day in years, to darken a bit. As for the shadow, don't worry about it. Most people don't even notice.
Regarding waxing, if it is done for an extended period of time, it can cause permanent hair loss so you need to be VERY sure you don't mind being permanently bald before you head down that road. Remember that it's always nice to have options and shaving allows us to retain the ones that Mother Nature hasn't taken away.

I am looking for some insight. I am now 2 months SLY and loving it. So clean, so cool, so comfortable. Absolutely, can't believe I ever worried about my head/hair. Never again. But I do have a question... Shine or no-shine? What is prefered? If shine, how is the best way to get one. I think I would prefer it. How do I maintain it? is it Aloe, Gloss from Headblade or wax? If it is wax, what brand and where do I get it?

I prefer the shiny look and my head is naturally shiny. Just natural body oils. Give both ways a try!! -
