Hi all
Just saying hello, I'm Steve, 49, been buzz cutting hair since 25 (bare blades) because of mpb.
Found this forum and decided that's it time to shave so got my trusty DE on it and I must say I'm loving it

The wife on the other hand went mental lol, which I can't understand as I cut my hair that short so from a distance I look bald anyway lol.
Told her she's got 30 days to get used to it lol, if she still hates it then i will have to go back to the Jason Statham look

Welcome to the forum! Nice story and intro...As far as the wife, well it may be an adjustment for her...but that's what the 30 days are for. Give her time, she may get used to it. Enjoy the forum!

Thanks guys, been out and about today and everyone I met that I know said wow that really suits you which is good news. I like both styles to be honest but going to do my 30 days and hopefully the wife will come round, she did say one positive thing and that was at least you get away with it with your shape head

Good enough for Stone Cold Steve Austin - good enough for me lol.

When I first shaved my head nine years ago my wife was a bit put out. Some years later I thought I would let it grow for a while to see what the hair situation was and she said' get rid of that' I mush prefer you bald. Your wife will be supportive in time I am sure.

My wife wasn't that bothered (or at least if she was, she didn't say) when I went for the shaved look.
However I am under strict instructions to leave the goatee alone. The strange thing is that she absolutely HATED it when I first grew it, but now says that I wouldn't look like myself without it!

My wife came around quickly on the bald head, but says to never shave the beard. I'm with her on that.
Today was a holiday. Did not shave, but looking forward to getting a shave in the morning and an oil/sugar scrub to follow. Lemon!

Top of the morning to you Steve!
Thanks for joining us here and sharing your story. It's funny how most people think they are "all alone" but when I joined the Forum I was like "wow, most of these guys were doing what I was already doing..." (same as you, buzz cuts going shorter and shorter until you look at all these fabulous smooth domes and say "well, that's it, then.")
I bet your wife will come around. My brother's wife loves his smooth head and fully supports his decision. Sure she was shocked at first but she grew to accept it and it looks better than the MPB "Attack of the Horseshoe"... I was reluctant to shave mine, I like the feeling of the bristly hair of a buzz, but it was getting to the point I was going shorter and shorter to get the "sharp bristle" so that it was close to bald... so the razor came out and the hair went away.
Good for you taking the 30 day chellenge. I hope you'll enjoy it and your wife comes to accept it. After all, it's the same you underneath. Hopefully all the reactions will be supportive and positive ones for you!
