Mutton Tallow
« on: April 17, 2007, 12:53:38 PM »
:/O Yo, bros. Has anyone ever tried mutton tallow for the ultimate shine? My wife uses it for cracked and chapped hands. Saw a jar of the stuff in the bathroom, after a stint of bailing water out of the flooded basement. On an impulse, dabbed it on the dome. Presto! instant and lasting shine, better than Headlube glossy. It may not be non-comedogenic; dunno. Comments? Professor Melon

Mutton tallow? That'd be rendered sheep fat? Same as you'd make candles from? Never thought of that... I've used Anhydrous Lanolin for moisturizing (water & oil from sheep/goat hair), but it doesn't shine at all >:( .

I'll have to look out for that.
