Maybe time for a bald move

Hi guys, I currently have my hair at 3mm and am thinking about taking the leap as the top of my head is thinning fast. I have previously razored my hair but I hated the look due to me being pudgy and pale. Now I am fitter and with a sun tan I am wondering if you lot think shaving will suit me. I am still pretty young at the age of 25, maybe too young to go for the shaven look?

 I have been browsing this forum and I see basically all of you have facial hair, I am unable to grow facial hair because I am a bit patchy.

I realize this forum is a bit biased towards shaving, but I really would appreciate some input. I don't think I have any photos of when I was shaven before, bit of a shame.

Dude, you're already look great this close, there's no reason not to take it to the next level. The difference between a fully sly head to what you have now is about a week's growth so you don't have anything to lose by slicking it down and trying it out. I say go for it!!

No facial hair here!  And anyway, you should do what makes you feel good, don't feel obliged to grow facial hair.  It's not for everyone!

If you shave your head now, you'll look the same as you do now, without the shadow.

It won't show off your thinning hair.  You'll look bold.

I'd say go for it.

A lot of members, as well as a lot of non SBG members, don't sport any facial hair yet still look quite dapper with a bald head. 

I say, give it a whirl. Based on the length you currently wear your hair, it won't take long to grow back to its prior length if you don't like it.

I have to admit being biased to the shaved head look but I am writing this with honesty, you have a strong facial feature that makes shaved smooth really look great. I hope you give it a try.

Welcome. You have the same growth now that you would have after about a week.

I don't sport facial hair. I don't think it's necessary to have both. In fact the clean all over look is smart, bold and strong

Think about it, give shaved a go if you don't like it a week later and you'd look the same as your picture. Just one week that's not long to try out a bold new look.

You also have the advantage of already having a tan. When I went sly I had only been clippered about a day so I had a distinct tan line.

Pretty much gone now though and enjoying sly for about two and a half weeks.

Do you REALLY think we show a bias towards shaving? I hadn't noticed...

A lot of guys worry about how they will look if they go smooth. I certainly did. Your pic shows a very well shaped head. I think you will look fine.

If you are like most of us, you will be asking why you waited so long once you do it.

The only way to know for sure is to grab the razor and start.

Nothing beats shaving my face AND head at the same time.  The clean feeling and look of total skin draws more attention to your facial features.  You have great eyes for the clean shaven look

though sometimes I let the chin hair grow out a bit just for fun

If you're at 3mm now you're getting pretty close. I went really short not long ago and as I looked at myself in the mirror I said "Gee, you're almost there..." - so I hopped in the shower, got my razor collection out and sat down and went smooth. I love it and I bet you will too!
