Finally did it on lunch break
Went for my usual horseshoe and told my barber someday want to shave it
He said no time like present
First part was a 00000 buzz on sides which is no big deal since usually have a 0 anyway. By by time he 00000 the top I was beginning to see something. Then me covered c lather and went c grain c straight razor then more lather then against. Then hot towel then some green exfoliative stuff shaved off against grain. Then some shiny stuff. Must admit looks awesome. And what do I think why didn't I do this years ago, why did I walk around c the horseshoe for years? Now for reactions at work will let u know soon. Will post pic asap

Very cool, like you I went from a horseshoe to bald. In no time your 'shoe will seem like long hair compared to your smooth shaved head
enjoy!

Welcome, sir. I've never had a barber shave, but your's sounds great. Sounds like you are ready for permanent sly. Enjoy it. Although you are already the best dressed guy at the office, this will just move it up a notch.

I don't really know what a horseshoe is, well I do but I suspect you mean something different to an actual horseshoe
Got any before and after pics?

Kudos for taking the plunge. I think most of us had similar experiences in those early days. First there are a bunch of reasons not to do it then once it's done you wonder why the hell didn't I do it sooner?

A horseshoe in the world of bald means a guy that has his hair on the sides and back, but is bald (or has little strands of hair) on the top which extends down to the crown of the scalp making a u-shape, hence the term horseshoe. (in some rare cases the "horseshoe" makes a v-shape rather than the traditional u-shape, but is still called a horseshoe.)

Nice going and enjoy it!!
I just (re) did it myself, intending this time not to let it grow more than 2-3 days before submitting to the joys of a warm water and lather shave over the scalp. It's nice to take a time-out, enjoy the feeling and the pampering your scalp deserves, and it's happiness and smoothness will be the thanks you receive!
