Hi wpruitt, I didn't know that about Kipling. I love his writing. I'm actually a little bit of an Anglophile. I love British history, beer, poetry, Tony Blair and the Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher.

I'm actually a little helluva of an Anglophile. I love British history, beer, poetry, Tony Blair and the Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher, and the original sly dude himself, Churchill.

Ah yes ... Barrack Room Ballads.  You know, we have a bit of a claim on Kipling ourselves.  He lived in Vermont for a while.

My favorite Kipling poem was written for the Diamond Jubilee - "Recessional" - along with "If"

Favorite Kipling Short Story - Wee Willie Winkie - Can't wait until my nephew is old enough to have it read to him

And second favorite Disney flick ... "The Jungle Book" ... based of course on Mr. Kipling
