I'll have to paraphrase but I think it was Mark Twain that said, "The coldest week he could ever remember was one weekend he spent in San Francisco."

It was "boiling hot" when we were there, for a pasty English bloke it felt like the hottest summer on earth, though a little chilly in the mornings. A trip over the Golden Gate Bridge on an open top bus was practically sub zero, and I think partly responsible for the ear infection Ive come back with!
Most of the pony tailed guys I saw were in the Haight Ashbury area..Hippy Land?

When my wife and I were on our honeymoon there, we were amazed that the B & B we stayed in had no air conditioning because there was no need for it. We did not expect to be wearing sweat shirts and jackets every day.
Twain's statement of "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco" was too true.
I wonder if Beach Blanket Babylon is still in production.

We have visited San Francisco several times and have had great times there. It is a great City with lots to see. I can do without the traffic congestion problem though.

Beach Blanket Babylon is still around.
You dont go anywhere in San Francisco without a jacket. If you don't need it when you leave the house you will need it before you get home.

I've never visited SF but my brother did and he enjoyed it. He was raving about some Peiking Duck he had there.
As for the "baldietails" I saw one here the other day and I didn't care for it. I have seen a few around, it's pretty uncommon. It got me to thinking are they trying to grow it long so they can comb-front (instead of come-over lol)? I can't imagine anything more hideous than that!
(Sorry if I just dumped that mental image into your civilized minds!)
