Sweet bike Mike and great you can ride with your son. Wanna make the trip for bike week too. No desire to do Sturgis..to hot. Got a pic of the bike?
One of these days, I'll make it to Sturgis. I made it to Biketoberfest last year and even in October, Daytona can be pretty hot and crowded. This is an older picture of my bike before I lowered the rear end.

The pipes are made by Vance and Hines. Overall the bike is relatively stock. I've changed the pipes, handlebars, seat and extended the forward controls another 3 inches. -

I never liked riding bikes with forward controls, always felt like I couldn't control the bike well. My old 79 sportster had them (yes Paul, I've owned a Hardly at one time, once and only once). Had the same issues with a Virago I had, forward controls, felt funny to me.
Guess that's why I like my VFR. But that is a purty bike.
