Got headblade, i need new blades soon.
« on: June 11, 2013, 08:48:20 AM »
Hey all, I'm 19 years old and just started to shave my head. Before i used clippers, but decided it would be fun to try.

I went out and got the HeadBlade Sport, because of this youtube review. I kinda got the feeling that it came with a few blades, but nope. It comes with one already on, and thats it!

I want to know what blades is good as a replacement? Do they snap right on etc?

Im kinda new in this topic, so please help me out! Thanks :)

Hi,

The Headblade Sport is delivered with a black adaptor. You have to use the black adaptor instead of the yellow one and put Gillette Sensor blades.
They are much cheaper and of higher quality than HB blades. And they can be found in Europe in any store, which is not the case with HB blades.

(BTW, since it is your first post, don't hesitate to go to the Introduction section and introduce yourself so that people know who they are talking to...)

I use Gillette Sensor 3 with triple blades, to shave like the original HB triple blades provided with the HB Sport. But I guess any Gillette Sensor blades will do.

That's exactly what I bought. The 8 blades cost around 10 euros and I change them once every two weeks (while shaving every two days). So, it is rather cheap for very good quality. I have not tried any other type of blade, since I am rather new to the Headblade system. This cartridge is the only one I have bought so far.

Alright, I just shaved again for the night, i kept bleeding so i took a shower... I guess I still need some getting used too haha!

I do have problems with cleaning the headblade blade, like the one that it came with. Did you have the same problem? I did get the sport edition as described above.

People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

Yes, I had the same problem, because the blades are to close to one another. With Gillette blades, it is much easier to clean. I take the shower handle and send water with the "pressure option". The blades are instantly cleaned.
