Hello everyone I am new to the forum and new to the complete Sly look. I have been losing hair for years and cutting shorter and shorter now I have been shaving for a few weeks. Feels great.
Anyhow my question is how do you guys keep sweat from rolling down in you face when your working hard? I work outside a lot and prefer sunblock to a hat. Now that I have no hair on my head the sweat just rolls down to the eyebrows builds up and goes in my eyes and stings or drips into my sunglasses and then I cant see.
Any recommendations...I thought about sweatbands but I feel kinda 70's in them and I am not sure I can do a bandanna at work.
Tony
It might sound old fashioned, but I always carry a handkerchief so I can do a quick wipe of the brow. At the gym, I use a small towel.
No it doesn't sound old fashioned at all. It sounds very practical. I am sure I am going to have do something similar to that. I am a heavy sweater (not the wool kind lol) so it will probably be a small towel for me. I had an idea for a device that would redirect the sweat and make it run down and back away from my face... not sure how its gonna work exactly yet. LOL
If I'm going to be sweating that much I will use a small towel to keep it out of my eyes.
I find that hats irritate me now that I'm bald.
Simple solution for me was to cease working hard outside. Am older and can away with that. I also shave my brows.
Lol Benett! I like your solution, I will probably just deal with a little burning once summer heat hits. I find that the stinging kind of subsides after a while when doing hard work or cardio, some people may be more sensitive then others though. It will be interesting to see of there will be any difference if I do decide to keep my brows shaved
Lynchy, I am with you. I don't care to wear hats much any more now that I am sly. I like to keep the dome exposed. Sunscreen helps in the warmer sunny weather.
You could try what the boxers do - a smear of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) over your eyebrows.
This channels the sweat to make it run around your eyes and down the sides.
