Been lurking around for the past few days and decided to post my intro.

I happened upon this site doing a search for Hairclub For Men (believe it or not), because my thinning, graying hair made me look 20 years older than I actually was and I was considering joining HCM. After reading all the horror stories about that so-called glued on hat with hair "system", thank God I found these sites first. Would have been an expensive mistake joining to just gain my "youthful" look with fake hair.
The other day I checked out the baldrus website and was amazed at the horror stories of wearing the HCM system (a very good story about it can be read by visiting
http://hairclubsucks.com ) With the HMC "System", comes the itching, the maintenance, and above all, the expense.
I figured if I am going to regain the looks of my real age and not fork down a small mortgage, I may as well take it off. Take it ALL off (not litterally, of course)
So I stopped into the local pharmacy here and bought a brand new electric shears and a specially designed electric razor for head shaving. When I got home, I stood in front of the mirror, shears in one hand, a can of beer in the other. And I did the deed. My hair flushed down the toilet.
(As a footnote, that so-called electric "Head Shaver" was a misread on my part. The words HEAD SHAVER were prominant, but the number "2" next to it was in small print. It is actually a 2 HEAD shaver. HAHA! I felt like a dummy.. So I ordered the HeadBlade and am awaiting its arrival. Heard great stories about it)
Anyways, back to the story, when I looked at the final results, I was amazed. Not shocked as I thought I would be. I actually LOOKED YOUNGER! Yes, my hair actually made me look OLDER. But the real test came when I went to work the following day, and I was really nervious.
When I walked in the building, I came across the site manager (the head honcho) who I KNEW was a smart-aleck and would say something. True to form, he said "Get a haircut, you hippie". I laughed and asked him if I could borrow his comb. He turns and says "Lookin' good Jim!". But the real test came in with my fellow workers.
Every comment was positive. Women actually complimented me and said I looked so much younger and better. One of my friends, who's a flirt anyways, came up to me and said I looked so good she'd dump her boyfriend.

She was kidding, of course, but the fact remains that yes, hair does not make the man. It is the character behind the man.
As the days pass being Sly, I am finding more women who never gave me two thoughts are now paying more attention to me. I love it!
Man I am glad I took that thinning, graying hair off my dome. I will never go back. The reactions from people boosted my confidence and self esteem a thousand fold. And the neat part about it is if I put on sunglasses, I'm a spitting image to Paul Shaffer.

In the end if you're thinking of getting a hairpiece (a laughable statement made on a forum dedicated to bald men and women

) ,save your money, don't get the dead rat to wear on your head. Just take it off, give it a good shine, maybe even some car polish to have the water bead off your scalp like your cars hood (just kidding), and be yourself! You will not regret it for a minute. And the women will love you for it.
I will never go back. The look, the feel, the low maintenance, the shine, and looking 10 years younger. And to think i costs me a grand total of $40.00 (for the electric shears and the HeadBlade I recently ordered). It was an investment well worth it.
Now I have this sudden craving to go to my local Harley dealer. Is his normal?

Glad to have found this board an all the fine Sly folks that inhabit. I will definately be a frequent visitor.
