Hi,
I found this forum just yesterday. I never knew a forum exclusively for bald guys existed.

Anyway, let me introduce myself. I'm Anup from India. I'm 22 years old. I'm bald by choice for the last 1 year.
Initially I was afraid to shave my head. But then I started loving it.
Because I find it difficult to shave the back side of the head, I started using trimmer. I still am afraid to shave it by myself. I always ask for help from my friends. How do you guys shave the back side of your head?
My another concern is that if I ever wish to grow my hair back, will there be a problem if I continuously shave my head now?

Welcome mate,
Shaving the back of your head just takes a little patience and a little practice but its definitely achievable.
No... Your hair will grow back just fine when you stop shaving

Welcome to Sly Bald Guys!!
Like anything, you'll get better at shaving the back of your head with practice. Post up your shave routine, including the razor and shaving cream that you use and we'll try to help you improve it.
There's no evidence that continuous shaving will cause you to have male pattern baldness.

G'Day anupsabraham mate

Welcome to the Bastion Of Baldness!!
The Key to shaving the back of your head is practice and feel and just take your time.
Speed will come. Just enjoy the "ME" time.
If you want to grow back your hair (I don't think you will) but if the unimaginable happens.....no worries. It will grow back just the same.

Welcome to the forum Anup. Good to hear you are enjoying your shave. As the guy's have said, it will get better with time as you become more familiar with using a razor. Hang in there, and keep it smooth.

Good morning and welcome to the greatest support forum in the world.
As to shaving the back of the head, it's actually not too difficult, you can learn a lot from some of the "youtube" videos such as this...

Thanks everyone for the help and advices. I really liked this forum.
Post up your shave routine, including the razor and shaving cream that you use and we'll try to help you improve it.
I use the Gillette Mach3 Turbo razor and a normal Gillette shaving cream for shaving. I usually shave with the grain. But sometimes I choose to shave against the grain.

Thanks bro. Are there a lot of Indians in here?

For shaving the back, since I easily get irritation at my neck and some of the lower part of my head, I turn around so the back of my head is facing my large bathroom wall mirror and then I take my smaller (8 inch diameter?) Handheld mirror in front of my face so I can look into that to see the back of my head while I shave back there. Helps me check the angle of my razor and quality of my lather to prevent irritation. I can also see if any irritation is beginning to form and say "oh, well no more passes for that area today then!" So that might help. :-)

Hey anupsabraham, I am a new member here and totally new to shaving my head as well (having only done it four times)
I ordered a Headblade ATX and used that right from the very start for my very first shave without any problems shaving the back of my head whatsoever. In fact on my third and fourth shave I used it in the shower without any mirrors at all and it was still fine.
The only thing I found a bit tricksy I was feeling (whether in the shower or out) was doing around the ears. The ATX did it but I had to slow down and it just felt a little less comfortable than doing the rest of my head
So what I did on "Sly Bald Guys Newbie Shave Number Four" was use a stick shaver around my ears first in the mirror, got that all nice and then into the shower with the ATX to do the rest. I liked that much better
