Love the Name

Love the name "Sly" in reference to bald guys, but where did it come from?

When I told my wife I was going "Sly" she just looked at me kinda funny.  Can't wait to see her expression when I finally do it.  Waiting for my HB to come in first.

Great question.

It comes from this site and guys referring to themselves as "Sly" being short for a Sly Bald Guy.  Being "Sly" is being above an average bald guy because they are bald by choice - meaning they have decided to be bald whether they are losing their hair or not.

Definately....just shaving does not make a dude sly....HE'S got to love it and believe it...

I can see where being "Sly" is like getting a shot of adrenaline to the confidence meter.  When I got my hair buzzed I really didn't care what anybody else thought.  Now  I'm really psyched to shave it all.

HB still didn't come in today so I'm still waiting.  I've been looking through all of the forum for the best advice so it will be a positive experience.

Duuuuddddeee...yes, read up what your fellow bald enthusiasts have to say about HB and take ALL of the advice...

sounds pretty tricky ...you DON't want to mess up your first sly experience (very cool O0) with a HB gash...

take your time and learn from the HB elders...

I'm a simple mach3 dude....perfect for me...good luck dude!

Thanks though bro...you always got my back! It's the closest thing I got to a tough guy mugshot!

I'm standing there, arms crossed thinkin' I'm all tough bald dude, intimidating the dudes in front of me... but in actuality, you or one of the other bald brothers (or all of you) are standing behind me being all tough and sly with your arms crossed...

A guy who had the cajones to shave a full head of hair before it was trendy, and to keep it that way for 12+ years, shouldn't even flinch at the thought of giving up his eyebrows.   What are you afraid of?  Live a little.   ^-^
