You've summed up presbyopia. A problem managed, not a problem solved.

Yes, I know.  It's just that trying to find the least onerous way of dealing with it is proving to be a lot more challenging than I ever expected.  :-[

I was able to adjust to vari-focals pretty easily some years back.  It will take a couple days, but they are worth it to me rather than using reading glasses, etc.
