going sly causes hair regrowth?

I think your doctor is correct.  Some of your hair loss was probably due to other factors.  Change those factors, change the result.

One of the prime falacies to sway a debate is "Post hoc, ergo propter hoc.", arguing from a temporal sequence to a causal relationship ("after this, therefore because of this").   It's like stating that playing the National Anthem causes a baseball game to occur.

or like, the final whistle causes some fat lady to sing. Getchya.

Honestly after everything I've gained from going sly, I'd never go back. Call me mentally bald by choice  O:O

I have to agree with this phenomenon, as it is happening to me.  Not very much at all, but there are a few hairs that just appeared out in the middle of nowhere on my temples (and if you look closely, they look odd all by themselves).  And after spending 8-9 months trying to regrow some, I spent enough time studying my hairline to know where each little hair was, and these were definitely not there a month ago.

Not that a few hairs are anything to be excited about as it doesn't change anything, but I am very curious about this.
