Got a gash on the dome...What to do???

Ive cut my head good a couple of times shaving and here is what I do. I take a cold washcloth and dab it repeatedly until  it stops bleeding.  then I keep at it while i finish shaving and showering.  i cont with the cold water cloth while i get dressed.  by that time, the bleedng has stopped for good.  the next  day, when i'm shaving, i carefully place a finger over the cut so i wont shave over it until last.  i shave around the spot until last and then geeeennnntly run the razor over it.  it may be a little rough for a couple of days until it heals completely.
