Welcome to the forum. I'm 56. Never had a Triumph, but I had a '65 Corvair 500 2dr hardtop many years ago.
Don't worry too much about the white head. If you do a #1 buzz for a couple weeks, and you don't have much hair to begin with, and you get a little fresh air and sun on your head (but not too much...), you can get some color to your scalp before you go sly. It won't be the pasty white that you sometimes see when someone with long thick hair goes sly.

Welcome to SBG. I'm sure you will enjoy the HeadBlade products. Don't worry about the white head. It will eventually get some color. Hope that your health continues to improve.

Don't forget the sunscreen, the pale head can get burned pretty quick.
I had a little issue with the white head and lack of sunscreen. Here's the story...white head + ball cap + golf +beer + no sunscreen + more beer = big sunburn spot on the back of my head.
I thought by wearing a cap I would protect myself from sunburn, however I didn't calculate the effect of the hole in the back just above the size adjuster.

Ahhh, Grasshopper, as a former lifeguard, I can attest that the sun will find any unprotected, exposed area and make you pay for it. And double danger, no one should forget that you are in big trouble if you forget that overcast weather will get you just as if the sun were blazing. Sorry that happened to you LH. By the way, your pic is way cool. What's the story with your name?

Thanks Stew! I made the pic using the effects on my Mac's webcam. It can do some crazy stuff.
Do you remember the old metal lunch boxes back in the day. When I was a kid I would get a new one at the beginning of each school year and they always had my favorite cartoon heroes on them.

Yes, I remember those. Are you a collector or do you just fondly remember them?

My biggest concern is the "white head" look for the first couple of weeks but hopefully it will only be temporary.
Welcome and I'm glad to hear you are doing better!
Biggest tip I can give you for when you finally shave is Sunscreen!!! Seems like common sense but after 10 years I still forget. (I'm getting better though) When I first shaved my head I got sunburn and then decided to go dancing, well I almost passed out on the dance floor from all the heat on my head! Plus a peeling scalp is not a scalp you want to try to shave

Welcome to the Sly Bald Guys family triumphcorvair, I too am glad to hear you are ok, and as for the white dome after shaveing, I recomend using the Nivia for men "skin essentials" moisturizer Summer Look.
It's as mentioned a moisturizer but with a built in sunless tanner. What I like about this is that it takes about three days of continous to build the tan. It doesn't happen right away, and doesn't streak or turn your skin orange. Just keep in mind that the package doesn't say anything about containing an SPF, so if you are going to be out in the sun for a long period of time, you should use a sunblock.
