thanks for the advice again everyone managed to convince and explain my situation to people a bit better now.

Ive spoken to my family and friends and by the sounds of it my family have come to understand that i am going to do it at some point  and are accepting it (just not my mother or sister). my friends (guys) aren't bothered and id me happy to see what jokes they can come out with be interesting to hear a joke i haven't heard before. The girls are being girls and sorta on my side about it more now after i explained its taking up a lot of my time and starting to depress/annoy me.

i Told the girl i like that my hairs falling out (i acted confident while telling her) and I'm going to go sly soon to overcome it and she was OK with it though said she will miss my hair and that it might suit me if i build my arm muscles a bit.

so it now seems like things are getting on track again, only got the girl who is a friend that still doesn't like the idea but she will be find with it in time as i said its like a girl going from long to short hair you just give it some time. Going to continue cutting my hair shorter and by mid April be sly and I'm going to start a little bit of a beard/stubble to go with it

i Told the girl i like that my hairs falling out (i acted confident while telling her) and I'm going to go sly soon to overcome it and she was OK with it though said she will miss my hair and that it might suit me if i build my arm muscles a bit.

That's a bit like you saying to her "her hairstyle would suit her more if she changed her breast size". It will probably work out with her but if it doesn't then console yourself with this image:

Flash forward to 30 years in the future. The girl in question has changed somewhat in a most unappealing way, living in a hot, sweaty trailer [here we call them caravans] with a fag hanging out of her mouth and a bottle of gin in the other. Her current boyfriend is sitting across from her and has long, greasy hair and is wearing a stained blue singlet [here we call them wife-beaters].

She is screaming at him in a slightly slurred voice "You won't even trim that filthy hair when I ask you to and I could have married a guy who was willing to shave his head for me."

The boyfriend will reply "Well, why didn't you?"

She will say "Because I was too young and silly -- I didn't have the life experience. But make no mistake I am passing on my newly realized bald insights to all my children and girlfriends."

This will doubtlessly lead to, through the power of Darwin's natural selection, all men shaving their heads and eventually all men being naturally bald [as only bald men will be selected for breeding].

In the interests of full disclosure I should say that all my women have left me and I am living on my own with my chihuahua named Chia who is much easier to get along with than any woman I've ever lived with. It might be wise not to take too much notice of me.

Gary that image has made my day and your chihuahua is awesome. I'm looking at my razor right now and thinking should i skip ahead a little bit and go to a number 5 or 4 so tempting. I'm starting to look at things in a long term view now over a short term ( i used to be very short term). To cut hair or not to cut hair bonus part is Im off work till Thursday so i have time to adapt and stuff.

Just do it now.

Two situations to consider:

1) It's like an itch. Once you've got it (the urge to shorten/shave) you've got to scratch it (feels so good).

2) It's like pulling off a bandage. Do you pull it off slowly (and agonizingly) or do you rip it off and be done with it.

I've read this post top to bottom and I just gotta say, You Fellas Rock!   YR*(k

I'm a slyette (lady sly)  g6!pw3r and when it comes to romantic interests   :-*, I say if the guy cannot see my heart past my sly head, wheelchair, and my health problems then I'm not going to waste my time or energy there.  Ya know?   O0

Same for the fellas.  Look for a woman who will see beneath the exterior.  It's ok for a woman or man to have a preference if you ask "Do you like my hair/dome/dress/outfit?" but if a certain "look" is required for a relationship, then RUN, Forest, RUN!   d#~
