I want to use the headblade but...

Not sure where this goes anyhoo in 1998 I had surgery on my spine since then I have loss of feeling and poor hand control, reach ect. I tried headblade but as I said I can't tell if im applying pressure and thats a no no with headblade. Plus I cant seem to keep my hand going straight the further back I go, which is also bad. The fusion works pretty well and easier to tell if I'm pressing or not. Guess I'm asking if anything can be done to get a better shave since I have no minions to shave for me,rolling razor or a longer handle,? I might just have to DIY a contraption. Sigh anyway enough of that thanks for reading.

While the headblade is a nice little tool, you have to go with what gives you the best result.....There are plenty of guys here who go as far as to say they loathe the headblade....Me personally, I use the headblade if I'm short on time and need a quick headshave....but if I want a relaxing shave, I use other methods. If your Fusion works well, I wouldn't sweat not being able to use the Headblade, although it would be nice if you could find a way to.

I wanted to like the HB, and still think it's a great little invention, but I just find it too squirelly on my head.
And it can't shave everywhere, so I ended up using two razors during a shave. That just seems weird to me, so I just use my Mach 3 for the whole thing.
Many guys really like it, so it's a matter of whether it works for you or not. Use whatever will give you the best and most comfortable shave.

I generally use two razors. The headblade does the majority of the work, and it does it FAST. There are a few spots that it misses, which I use a standard razor for. Also, sometimes I'll use the standard razor first, WTG to preserve the sharpness of the HB for ATG and very close shave.
So I always use the HB and supplement with the others.

Agree with you there, Mr Zed.
I use the HeadBlade. Then touch up with a regular razor. For me, the HeadBlade is unbeatable for shaving your head quickly and effectively.

If you hold the handle between the tip of your fingers you can get everywhere with ease. I actually find you can put pressure on, it's just how and when you do it that matters

Aha! maybe the new headblade ATX will be better for you seeing as you pull, rather than push the blade, at the back of the headblade

Yes hold out for the ATX it's far more forgiving than the current Headblade.

I view my HB like a lawnmower. It does the donkey-work, and does it quickly. I then do a second pass with my Mach 3. The HB alone doesn't give me a really close shave.

I find that as long as I have three days or less growth, the Headblade alone is sufficient...However, with the New Headblade ATX I can get behind my ears without having to use a second razor, something I never accomplished with the HB sport. Anything over four days growth and the Headblade can't get the job done without an assist....
