30 Days In
« on: August 20, 2012, 03:35:37 PM »
Lurked around here for some time before finally taking the plunge.  I began with a very short (.125") clipper cut.  After a couple of days, I took a razor to the head.  Wifey was somewhat dismayed, but she is coming around (she says it feels weird).  Initially, the kiddos were mortified, but they were the first to embrace it.

Took me awhile to get accustomed to the feeling.  Every time I walked outside I felt "naked".  To make matters worse, I am an attorney and I am constantly speaking in front of a group.  I dreaded the first outing.  Ultimately, my anxiety was proven baseless as most folks either said nothing at all or gave positive feedback.

At any rate, I love my shaved head and I felt I needed to offer some positive praise to this forum.

Welcome, LB....in my opinion when a member of the legal profession is sly, they look more serious and commanding. Great intro, thanks for sharing and enjoy the forum!

Welcome!  You wear the look well.  Feeling naked at first is normal, but you'll quickly adjust to the smooth dome.

Welcome to the forum LB! Post often and enjoy the forum. It's like a fraternity.
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

Welcome!
This is a success story and is very nice of you to share it with us.
Hopefully it will inspire a lot of people that strugle with mixed fellings and don't see how they could get back in control.

You look great as a bald guy, and personally I find the look very professional.

Professional. Yep. That describes it.  If I need an attorney, I want a bald one.

Welcome.

Your statements are absolutely correct.  With the MPB and the graying, my head was begging to be bald for years.  I finally listened and helped liberate the poor fella.   I could not be happier with my decision to jettison that pitiful mop....

Good one! It's one of my all time favorite movies and I used to be able to quote Jack's final rant from memory.

I showed the movie to my non-native English speaker wife. She has committed those famous lines to memory. It's funny when she uses them on me in public.
