Facebook is losing money hand over fist ever since they went public.
And so are their stockholders! Never even occurred to me to get into that Frenzy. or Zynga. or (put social media name here).
I dumped facebook a few months ago. I got tired of their all to frequent changes to the page, layout, menu locations, and such. Gave up trying to re-learn facebook every two weeks. I told them why I was leaving.
Plus page after page filled who everyone's daily horrorscopes, who listened to which song, invitations to join this game and that game. I always felt that it was a cultural wasteland; the only redeeming value was the easy connection to workmates (particularly for trading work shifts). But now the value of content has become miniscule.
Yeah, my social time is now best served here at SBG. Thanks to all of you!
And wait until it's November I think, when all the Execs from Zuckerberg on down will be able to dump thier shares.
Yup
F.B. Is a world of needless drama
I agree it has the power to keep in touch with friends.
It most certainty can be used in a constructed way.
I myself find it full of people looking to fullfill an empty spot
Is it so important to post every little detail in your day?
Honestly .... I dont have time for drama. Its like some
Reality show but amongst your social circle.
I posted 12 times in two years...My last message said
"Get Away From the Screen and Live Life to its Fullest"
I think there where 33 friend request that I never
responded too. Some of them sent angry messages too.
I do like it here though.
LETS NOT TAKE LIFETIME FOR GRANTED..
Tend to the Farmtown of your own doings in Life
That's the good part of SBG....you don't have to "request" someone's friendship, you become friends almost instantly by simply joining....and SBG is a little more discreet; others know only what you want them to know.
Unfortunately, Facebook seems to have degenerated to a point where it seems more like a high school popularity contest with everyone trying to get the most "friends" or "likes"nor bragging about how well they're doing in the newest video game. Sorry, but I didn't have video games when I was a kid so, consequently, I have no interest in them now and little patience for people whose lives seem to revolve around them. I have co-workers in their 30's who have little or no knowledge of what's going on in the world. It's really kinda sad.
