23 and receding, should I shave it off?

Welcome to the site! It's gonna sound like a broken record around here, but I think you look better with the shorter hair. Makes you look younger and more like a bad ass.  Glad to hear you are going to consider shaving clean. As my fellow baldies said, it's worth trying at least once. Looking forward to the results!

Wow, that doesn't even look like the same person in those pictures. While your hair still seems quite intact, I like your buzz cut WAAAAAY more. The buzz cut makes you look more masculine and rugged. For me, this is not even a case of a receding hairline, but more one of 'longer hair vs buzz cut'.

But if in the future your hairline starts receding any further, I think you'd also look great with a shaved head.

Looks like you are comfortable with the buzz cut.  The shave is only better.
Give it the 30 day trial you will most likely like it better.

I am not sure if another vote will sway you, but I definitely think the buzzed look suits you better and, if the time comes that you want to have a go at going full sly, I have no doubt you will pull it off

I buzzed to a #1 last year. Looks about like your buzz.  Then realized that it was so close to shaving, that I just went all the way.  Much prefer the shaved head over the #1. But you can stick with this for a bit to get used to it.  You're almost there.  Shaved bald is really nice. Feels so smooth each morning after the shave.
