No STOD today....I overslept. I didn't want to drastically decrease my body's blood volume with a rushes DE head or face shave.
Head (in the shower) with the trusty HeadBlade and Schick Hydro 5 for missed spots.
Face (at the sin) with the SH5.
The results were good but I can tell that a DE would have been closer and lasted longer.

This was my first shave using a brush and shaving soap. I really like the experience, but have to work on my technique to create a lather like WARHAWK!
Face and head at the sink:
Wash: Nivea Sensitive Face Wash
Shaving Soap: Edwin Jagger Sandalwood
Brush: Omega
Razor: Merkur with Derby blade
Warm and cold rinses
After-shave: Nivea Sensitive
I got a good shave, but noticed now that I mustn't have done a very good job on the crown and back because I'm noticing missed spots.

Just a few minutes ago....I had a very comforting face shave (sink; skipped the head shave). I used the Gillette Fatboy dialed at #7 during the entire shave. I revisited the Palmolive Shave Stick from Europe. I also used a Super-Max Titanium blade (thanks to Waine). This DE blade is sharp, unforgiving, & tug-free. All in all...I had a nice BBS face shave. Finished it off with an ice cube rub and splashed some refrigerated Osage Rub and had a great shave.

Today's shave wasn't awful but I've had better. I think the blade was past it's prime. I lost count of the shaves I had on it and given that I used it on my head and face, I'm certain it wore out faster than I thought it did. I kept feeling missed spots and ended up having to clean them up with my SH5.
Head and Face (at the sink)
Pre Shave: Shave Secret applied to the head
Shaving Soap: C. O. Bigelow
Razor: Merkur Futur with
dull
Wilkinson Sword blade & SH5 for missed spots
Warm and cold rinses
After-shave: Witch Hazel for the Head / Gillette A/S Lotion for the face.

This morning's shave was very late, but very good. Maybe I was more wide awake!
Face and head at the sink:
Art of Shaving pre-shave oil
Edwin Jagger Sandalwood soap
Razor - head: Merkur with Derby Extra blade
Razor - face: Parker Heavyweight Butterfly with Astra blade
Nivea Sensitvie aftershave
I took my time today and gotta BBS on both head and face.
The Parker razor holds the blade at a very different angle than the Merkur, so it takes some getting used to. I think I prefer the Merkur.

Face and head both shaved in the shower today. Not sure if people know this or not, but in Japan people have a little plastic seat in the bathroom to sit and shower/shave on.
Same soap, brush and after shave treatment for head and face : Proraso, boar brush, witch hazel, 444 gel with 4711 aftershave.
Face razor, 37C slant. Head, Extreme III disposable.
Overall less than 20 mins!

Today's shave of the day was brought to you buy the letter
B
and the color
Red
.
I only shaved my face with the safety razor. Given the way the face shave went it was a good call.
Head (in the shower)
Cream: Bald Guyz Clear Gel applied with a brush (2 passes)
Razor: Schick Hydro 5
Per shave: Shave Secret
Exfoliated between passes
Post shave: Cold water rinse followed by Witch Hazel
Face (at the sink)
Cream: C. O. Bigelow
Blade: Merkur ( only tried once before)
Razor: Merkur Futur (settings 3 &2)
A/S: Gillette A/S Lotion
Results: DFS but lots of little wheepers
I guess the shaving gods though I needed to refine my styptic skills. I'm going to give this blade one or two more tries but if the results don't improve....this blade will be dead to me.

I used an Astra blade yesterday, very sharp. I used Poraso pre-shave and shave soap. I whipped up the soap in a plastic molcajete (salsa bowl) like Warhawk uses instead of my vintage mug. It's larger and give me room to whip and I whipped it good. I had so much leftover foamy soap I could have washed my pick up, but it was dark. Had a good close shave on head 'n' face, but I may have to re-think using a DE on the dome...to many bumps 'n' moles. May have to go back to sissy blades....film at eleven. I used some of that old fashion Clubman Bay Rum to finish off, nice.

Great head and face shave tonight in the shower.
Williams shave cream, omega boar brush, Lord L6 razor on head, Derby blade, 37C slant on face, Astra blade.
Witch Hazel, 444 gel with Osage rub.
Lovely stuff!

Here is my Labor Day SOTD (face @ sink and dome in shower). I went vintage and I am loving my vintage Gillette Fatboy. The Polsilver blade provided for a smooth & tug-free shave. It is a Russian blade that I highly recommend. My favorite & go to soap (Mike's Natural Soap) lathered like creamy yogurt. I finished it off with a cold ice cube rub and a splash of refrigerated Osage Rub. Aaaaaahhhhhh life is great!!!8)

This morning, I wanted to change it up and did my head in the shower with a Mach 3 and headslick. Not bad, but not as close as my DE.
Face was the trusty Proraso / Merkur / Derby / Clubman combo.

Today's DE shave was great. I was short on time this morning, which seems to be a trend for me. :/
I used my trusty
SH5
in the shower with C. O. Bigelow applied with a brush. I coated my head with a few drops of Shave Secret and did two passes with a exfoliation between passes. The results were fantastic!
I still had enough cream on the brush to I whip up some lather that would make Warhawk proud and shaved my face at the sink. Merkur Futur/ Wilkinson Sword Blade / Gillette A/S Lotion. I got a DFS face shave in under 10 minutes - start to finish.
