My uncle is a crazy antique shop/thrift store guy. When he heard I was into wet shaving, he gave tme the pictured Gillette Red Tip. Today he gave me a scuttle he picked up in a second hand store, also pictured. I couldn't wait to get home to use it and get rid of this three day growth I had going on. It was my first time using a scuttle and it added another layer of pleasure to my DE shaving. Brushing on that warm lather felt awesome, especially after the last stressful 24 hours. My car broke down on the parkway, it took me an extra day to get home, and cost me $850. The shave definitely helped me relax a little.
Razor: 1955 Gillette Red Tip
Blade: Vidyut Super-Max Stainless
Creme: Van Der Hagen Select Shave Soap in scuttle
Method:with, across, against the grain
After: Maca Root Razor Relief, the Body Shop
Old Spice Classic

Hi Mike: I love your scuttle. That will be perfect those cold winter nights. Enjoy that scuttle in good health, my friend.

I have been pleasantly surprised by Treet Platinum blades. So far they seem to perform just as well as Astra SPs in my 37c.
Prep: Hot Shower, Taconic PSO
Brush: Omega 10066 Boar
Lather: Uberlather with Col. Conk Amber, Gillette Sensitive Gel, Store-Brand Glycerine
Razor: Merkur 37c Slant
Blade: Treet Platinum Super Stainless Day 2
Finish: Store-Brand Witch Hazel, Pinaud Clubman Original
Results: DFS in 3 passes WTG, XTG, GTX, no cleanup or buffing required

Birthday SOTD, August 20, 2014
Razor: Weber DLC
Blade: KAI
Soap: Mike's Natural Soap: Lemongrass & Eucalyptus
Brush: The Grooming Company Brush
Dessert: Ice cube rub, refrigerated WH, refrigerated Osage Rub
Just had an incredible, super shave on this special day. This is my very 1st time using a synthetic brush. This brush is great. It is super, soft yet scrubby. It has the strong backbone of a Semogue boar brush. I already know that I am going to love this brush.

Razor: Weber DLC w/ Bulldog Handle

Soap: Petal Pusher Fancies: Coconut
Brush: The Grooming Co Brush

For those looking for a synthetic brush, The Grooming Co Brush is the one. It is a great performer. Super soft tips with good scrub. For anyone looking for a great Coconut scent, Petal Pusher Fancies is a must have. Scent is amazing and the performance is outstanding.

Had a super, smooth shave today. For anyone who has not tried Mike's Natural Soap, I highly recommend this shave soap. It is a great performer that continues to be active in my shave den rotation. Mike from Mike's Natural Soap is currently on vacation and will be back after the Labor Day weekend.
