Bald or Fuzz
«

Hello I have been off and on bald for a few years. I have kept it shaved for 30 days or more but get lazy sometimes and let it grow a week. I can't decide if I like smooth bald or a little peachfuzz. It is very soft to rub the fuzz and it looks baldish. I am mpb and have little in the front hairline. Should I just keep it shaved a bit longer to get used to smooth and give it another try? I can post a pic later.

I do the same. The 1/16 inch fuzz/stubble feels great.

Welcome to the bald brotherhood. Shaved bald and smooth works best for me.

I have let it grow for a week here or there. Booths looks are good.
Let us know how you get on!

Welcome parchessy ... sounds like either one works for you. How about posting that pic?

I really prefer the smooth feel. One day of hair is too fuzzy for me.

Thanks I shaved this morning. I enjoy shaving it so I think I will try to shave every other day again for 30 more days and see what happens. Nothing like rubbing a smooth shaved head.

Personally, I like my scalp smooth and shiny. It just doesn't feel right if I skip shaving for a day.

Had the day off yesterday from work, and normally (as in my pre-Sly days) I wouldn't shave. But by early afternoon I had to shave and get that magnificent smooth dome feeling. Didn't shave my face ... but couldn't go the day with scalp stubble. Go figure.

I'm not an everyday shaver either....I'm okay with one or two days growth....but unless life gets in the way, I don't let it get to the point where I have to clipper shave it before the razor if I can help it.

I've been shaving clean for about a week, but I'm still on the fence like you. Buzzing my hair takes about 5 minutes, shaving takes me about 30. Maybe in time I can get better at shaving and decrease the mirror time, but until then I may take 1 or 2 day breaks between shaves. My hair is gray, so even with the stubble I still look bald.

I was at about the 30 minute mark for the first couple of weeks of head shaving. It's down to 10 minutes now - five weeks later. I think the differences are that by this time I've learned the various directions needed to shave everything and avoid rough spots, and I know the maneuvers well enough that I'm comfortable going at a faster pace.
And it pays off every morning with that extraordinary smooth and slick feeling scalp!

I enjoy the velcro feeling, but the smooth feeling even more.
I'm under the impression that you like the shave more, but you're finding it too time consuming.
