Don't worry about your noggin' looks great! Besides that
thinning hair isn't pretty! Sly is alot better and you wear it well!

Good luck on the teaching thing, you look like you'd make a good teacher!!

God speed my friend!

Jon perhaps you see it as a disadvantage. but I wish I was going bald.. I'm 37 with a full set of hair.
I've been shaving for 8 years now, I've gotten my share of comments.. beleive I live a in a small town.
Family, friends, relatives.. have been really negative.. except for my wife and 4year old daughter who thinks
her dad looks good without hair.

In my situation I starting loosing patches of hair. all over my head. witch I decided to shave it off instead of having patches.. people tell me well go see a doc. did that the 1st time 99 injection of cortizon.. OUTCHHHHH.. no more..

You have a perfect head to shave..

: :)Dear Jon: give it a chance! at least a month or two. If you arrive on campus as the only sly guy in your class [which you won't], you'll find that you're ahead of the curve and will soon be joined by others, as the bald and BBC trend is cresting. You can go back to the misery of letting Mother Nature take her slow course, or embrace the new Jon and develop an upbeat attitude. Having injured my dome in a fall [15 stitches to close the gash] and having had to endure  growing stubble for a whole week, I can tell you that shaving the noggin absolutely clean is the first thing I am going to do once I get medical clearance. Let us know how you're doing. All best, Professor Melon

Good for you bro.  We need some more good teachers in this world.  To bad they, as well as cops and fireman, don't get paid what they're worth.

Professor I wish you a speedy recovery and a clean shave real soon.

Thanks for all the support. Ive only had one problem I forgot to put sunblock on and got a sunburn could not shave for like 4 days. It was driving me crazy not being shave. I have to say I'm really loving the look. As for Philadelphia I may not be able to go. which sucks because of not being able to afford to live there on my own. I'm from the Poconos which is a really small area and really isn't that great. The only things we have here are Great Wolf lodge and Camelback. I wish I could have gone to school in Philly but it seems I'm not meant to.  Once again thanks for all the support

Bud, that happened to me too, wasn't funny at the time but I laughed about it later. Sometimes you don't think of putting sunblock on your head, just your face.

Chin up my friend, the photo looks fine to me!  O0

Jon my brother, we are all in this together.  I started thinning at around 18 and have been trying all the hair loss treatments along the way.  I'm still coming to terms with it but the folks here have really helped me out, I was having some major depression issues but with these guys' support I was able to rise above it.  Just know you have the support of one of the greatest communities on the net.  Keep your chin up and stay sly bro.
