I'll start......
This scent has been my one and only for about three years now ............ Clubman Pinaud.
It is inexpensive (about $7 US), lasts forever, and has the scent of a time long past. The scent reminds me of the smell that would roll over me when I would walk into one of those old time barbershops as a kid back in the '60s and 70s.
My daughter always tells me... "Daddy you smell so good". WHen I ask her what I smell like she says... "You know.... your cologne.... it just smells like you".
As an added bonus (even though I'm happily married), women love the smell of this scent.
So what's your favorite and why?

Eternity Summer (Calvin Klein).
I find that many cologne's either 'fade' quickly, or give me a head ache. This one does not. Found it at Belks. But all they had was the sample. So the sales gal was creative. Buy the Eternity Aqua cologne and after shave and I'll let you have the extra sample in the back room of Eternity Summer Cologne for free. I bought it. I think it was $70 or so, but I'm still using all three bottles over a year later.

Used to use Nautica Longitude, but they stopped making it about five years ago. Since then, I've occassionally used Sabon (gift from my wife from a place in New York City)

I rarely use an actual cologne (when I do, it's either Eternity or Old Spice), but the lotion I use on my noggin daily has a nice lime/patchouli scent on which I've been complimented by my wife and coworkers.

Allure Sport pour homme by Chanel for the summer and warmer times and Dolce & Gabbana's original gold-colored cologne for the winter. Allure has a nice, light floral scent that lasts a while and D&G has a heavy, complex woodsy scent. I like all my colognes, but those two are the top of the heap.
Another great one for summer is Versace Metal Jeans. Was a big fan of Acqua di Gio until everyone and their brother started wearing it; I'll bust it out every now and then though. CK Eternity, Lucky Brand, Candie's Men, Lacoste silver, Coolwater, Perry Ellis 360, Curve original, Hugo Boss, and Domain by Mary Kay round out my collection.
I never got too deep into aftershaves. I have some that came in gift sets with a few of the aforementioned colognes: Lucky Brand, Curve, and Acqua di Gio. I'll use them every now and then but I mainly go with witch hazel or just plain cold water.

Hey everyone. I can't believe I missed this post. After a good face/head shave... I always do a cold water rinse and ice cube rub, and WH then I apply an after shave. I have a handful that I use in my rotation: Osage Rub, Brut After Shave lotion with the shea butter. On a side note... I'm gonna purchase some Clubman Pinaud today (thanks Mike) and great story on how your daughter loves it. I always love your stories on your family and inner circles.
As far as cologne... my current favorite is Kenneth Cole's Reaction and Dolce Gabanna Light Blue. They have a classic, clean, light manly scent that me I like.

You'll probably see Clubman Bay Rum too but I would avoid that one. I bought it to give it a try last Winter. Very strong and heavy scent. I gave it away within a couple days after using it only once.
Clubman Pinaud is a light scent that's great all year round. At about $7 a bottle I can buy enough to last 5 years compared to the price of a single bottle of the pricey colognes. If you think "it can't be good because it's so cheap", I say give it a try for $7. A lot of guys on other shaving Forums love the stuff.

I have a whole box full of cologne that I rotate through. I have all 3 McGraw cologne (the country star's brand) which are what I normally wear, depending on the day I mix it up. Then I have the whole Stetson collection too which I don't use as much as I did before but the original reminds me of childhood. The Stetson "fresh" aftershave smells better than the cologne version of it and I almost always wear that every day in addition to my normal cologne. Then there is one called Citron that a good friend gave me, it is more of a winter type smell though so I don't wear it as often.
I have a regular customer that comes into the store and I love the smell of his cologne. Not in a creepy way or anything, I just wish I could find the brand he uses because I enjoy it so much and because I don't want to seem like a creep, I will continue searching for it on my own instead of asking him.
I often get different types for gifts, some people said they worry that it would make it seem like they thought I smelled bad but I like it. I end up giving them to friends for the most part because some of them just stink to me, like the whole addidas type, the jovan musk/aspen types, just smell trashy to me.
So to summarize, I have a few favorites but I will be constantly searching for "the one" that I can wear constantly like Mike

There's a couple of smelly things that I use...
Armani's Code and Givenchy's Xeryus Rouge
I tried loads out in various shops and liked these two the best by a long way... and the ladies seem to like them too, which I guess is the main point...?
But for a special treat, tucked away in a drawer, I have a never opened bottle of aftershave from the 70's called Hi Karate!
(Just waiting for Sex Panther to be released!

If I could get my hands on some Osage Rub before my birthday I'd be a happy camper.....In the interim, I use Aqua Velva and occasionally a splash of Vitalis mixed in.

like npsbg, I don't use cologne very much. When I do it's Gravity. I'm not sure who makes it or what it costs but when a woman, whom you're not dating, whispers in your ear "Gravity would smell soooooo good on you" you buy it.

My ex-wife and my now GF both like the smell of my Nivea aftershave so that's a plus. I also have some lavender shave stuff (shave cream in a tub, pre-shave oil and aftershave). I love lavender. I know it's not manly but it's calming and chicks dig it so I can handle a few wrinkles in my Man Card.

I'm not really a cologne guy either, I just have two Turkish colognes. One is lavender and one is lemon, from bestshave website.
I do however, have a bunch of aftershaves. I love the Pinaud Clubman, as well as the vanilla, but I don't like them in Summer. In summer I like 4711 Portugal a/s, I like MG5 ( a very crisp Japanese a/s), Tactics (another from Japan), Mandom, Auslese, and probably a bunch of others the names of which escape me now!
Of course I also have Osage Rub, great after a head and face shave on a warm day!

Happy by Clinique. My wife has a very sensitive nose, so it's one of the few colognes that we can agree on. It's very light with a hint of citrus.
As I once read about applying cologne - people should only smell your cologne if they are close enough to embrace you.
