Welcome and good luck...Sly may feel weird at first, but you'll get used to it...most of us went through that same nervous feeling when we first shaved our heads...

Welcome ... I agree with one of the earlier posts regarding finding someone ... its about you and not about if you are sly or not.  You look great buzzed and would look great sly.  Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you everyone for your great comments and support.

I should be trying the sly look pretty soon, once I start getting used to seeing myself without hair on my head lol.

I have one question though,

It looks like everytime that I shave closer, I start developing some medium sized-pimples on my scalp, they go away within a week. However, they come out every time I shave too close.

Any special tips or suggestions about how to prevent this problem?

I seem to get these some days, but they also tend to fade in an hour or so after shaving.  Perhaps it's the witch hazel or such.

You're going to look great when you shave your head.

I think you will look awesome sly, and I have no idea where the kiosk attendant was coming from, you certainly look like you are in your 20's, People have always thought I am older then I actually am, but that was mostly because of my MPB I am only 25 and have been told I look as old as 40... at the time I was a bit taken back by it, but I just took it in my stride. I don't know what it is like living in the US, but here in Aus I never got asked for ID (other then venues that actually required you to present it) ever since I started trimming my hair real short. And that made me feel real good to be let straight in when my mate behind me going asked for ID.

I can't wait to see a pic of you when you finally take the plunge!
