Tyler explained it: I used Sly because of the meaning "Playfully Roguish" meaning we go against the grain of what most people do.

When I first found SBG.com, I thought, "Sly Bald guys, why the connotation?" Did I want to be labeled as a "Sly" person -- cunning or shrewd? I was weary at first.
But shortly after I registered, I began to like the idea and now I like term very much. Of course, when I mention it to others in my circles of acquaintance, they ask, "What’s, Sly”, or “Why Sly?” And I explain to them which normally brings a smile to their face.
This site is not only dedicated to guys dealing with baldness, but also the whole "attitude" thing that goes with shaving it all off.
I like the name, like the site, and enjoy the dialogue with the people here.
