Re mangoes from Aus ain't bad
Never had Aus mangoes. Another food that is better in Asia is lemon grass. A local Thai restaurant manager says that USA lemon grass just does not have the flavor. He imports his for better flavor. Says he tries to grow it locally, but it just is lacking in flavor. Must be something about the Asian weather or soil that's different. -

I'm sorry to continue to jack this thread, but it looks like the OP is MIA anyway.
I'd like to try a peach direct from Asia. My grandfather used to grow them for a living in Virginia. I remember growing up, there was nothing more delicious than a soft peach plucked right from the tree. I can only imagine how one from it's native land would be... -

I know I'm kind of late with this but Maui Gold pineapples from Hawaii are really good. They're expensive but worth the price.
