Congrats to you Frontier, feels great doesn't it?
Keep up the great attitude, and remember when it comes to shaving your head, it really is all about you.
You're the guy living with it, so do what's right for you.   O0

Day #3 - best shave yet, and looking forward to tomorrow's.

Here's a chuckle (at least I think so): My weekend job involves working in a variety of job positions - one is in a small food shop with hairnets required to prevent hair from falling onto the open food items. That's a good thing.

So yesterday one of the managers and I were chatting about my new 'style' and I asked whether I needed the hairnet as I'm shaved to the scalp and no mustache, beard, etc. It doesn't make any difference to me, though it seems a little silly. Manager left to inquire ...

Today I got the word back that "Safety & Hygiene" said hairnet is still required. It's not just hairs, but the hairnet is also to prevent follicles from falling. The spacing in the hairnet is about 3/8". I had no idea our follicles are that huge! Made me smile.

Common sense died a long time ago.

Cheers!

Glad you're enjoying the sly side...On a side note, bald guys in food service still have to wear hairnets/hats not so much because of the hair follicles, but because of sweat particles...even if you don't work directly in the kitchen...Just wanted to let you know that it's not you....it also makes for uniformity with coworkers with hair.

This hairnet thing is so 'government regulation'! Unable to deal with reality.

I volunteer at the kitchen at work. Actually I cashier, but that's considered 'on staff'.  Since I don't work with the food, I don't need to wear the hair net, but I've asked the questions.  What if a bald guy works in the kitchen? does he need a hat/hairnet?

The kitchen manager just rolled her eyes and did not answer.

But I do have a beard, I understand why I would be asked to wear a beard net. I see enough beard hairs in my computer keyboard under the keys! LOL.

The hair follicle comment is fantastic!
