For the past month I've been quite enamored with the Gillette Fusion Proglide Power and have been shaving with it every day. Each cartridge lasts me about 4-5 days, so it's fairly expensive, but it gives a good shave. Recently I ran out of the Fusion Proglide cartridges and began to use regular Fusion cartridges with the Proglide Power handle. I haven't had this much razor burn since I first started shaving! Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? Can switching from one razor system to another be so dramatically different that it causes razor burn? Anyone's insight or assistance would be most welcome.
hey man. I actually experience that SAME exact thing whenever i change new razors. I am used to it now and i've accepted the IDEA that the blade is too sharp on first use, and after that first use...the razor burn and redness goes away after the very first shave.
So same example as you. I have the Fusion Power Glide , and whenever I change the blade, i get burn and some blood, but i always chalked it up to the blade being sharp because even when i use a mach 3 with a new blade, or even a DE Safety razor with a new blade, it's always sharp as hell and cuts me up the first time, so i just go a little easier the very first time i use a blade.
Did this "just" start to happen to you ? or are you noticing it's always with a new blade ?
