Thanks guys, really appreciate your advice. And will not rush into this. indeed it could be something regretable.
However, i just lost hair in the temples and instead of just accepting it, i ended up having a hair transplant (twice) i'm only 22 and its crushing to constantly wear a hat. I've been smoking weed/drinking just to get some short term pleasure into my life. Decided to quit everything 6 weeks ago, (or threatened myself that i'd quit my job and go for rehab), that worked!!! i'm completely sober!!!
why am i telling you this???
Because i wanted to see for myself if the intoxication was causing the negativity and thus the self conciousness...but here i am sober as a judge yet just as depressed. thing is due to hats/concealers i've managed to hide my procedures scars from EVERYONE (except one or two family members) Dating sucks (that's putting it mildly)... i did shave my head a few months back, horrible... many many little holes in the front from the transplant and the scars still pink... life's too short for this sh*t!!! i need help:( i spoke to shrinks...their only suggestion was that the drug abuse is causing the negativity, the drugs are gone...negativity remains!!!

You need to seek out competent counselling, it's not something you can do yourself.

Please note that it's the scars, not your balding the bothers you first, doing this would be just another procedure for you to regret, I'm 22 and I promise it is a massive weight off your shoulders, being young is even more reason to shave and free yourself from the crippling worry. I've been sly for 5 months and I'd NEVER go back. We're here to help.

Im thinking about doing this too. Only thing is that it would be about a year before Id even have the money to do it with. So for now Im stuck.
