Bald now and then

Hello.
I've been just wondering..what was your point of view about the bald look even before you were sporting the look? and what is your point of view now, when you're a bald guy?
As for me, In the past I thought it's an extreme look, for those who had the guts to do it. I couldn't really see bald guys in my city or so, only while watching TV shows or movies.
Now, I think it's an awesome look, one of the coolest, and that you don't need the guts to do it, it's not such of a big deal.

Agree, the bald look is great and exudes confidence and individuality.  That said I still have many friends and colleagues who will not give in, even with a deepening receding hairline and some with only wisps of hair remaining on top.  I believe it really is a lack of confidence to commit to the "sly" look, but then again it's up to the individual.

Before I went bald, think admired those who had the nerve to do it themselves.

Now I'm bald, really think it's no big deal. Probably because I'm noticing other bald guys about the place.  But what I'm really starting to appreciate is the permanence of being bald. You have the same bald look every single day. You don't have the silly nonsense of periodically going into the office listening to people exclaim "oh, you've had a hair cut".

Once you are bald and people get over your new look, you are bald every single day.

I always thought it looked cool on other guys, but never thought I'd pull it off. I was wrong.

I thought it looked cool on people like Yul and Telly.  I started noticing my thinning was getting worse when I was 29 and wasn't too happy with it, but being 1990, Slyness had not become popular....yet.  When I started to see guys go sly, I was intrigued.  But I wasn't sure if I could pull it off.  I was afraid about the reaction.  But I have gotten over that!  Now I am glad to be Sly as I have lost a lot of hair since first going Sly!

Then.....it freaked me out some, especially on younger guys....Now....can't imagine life without being bald!

This is my thinking. May be it's an obsessive thing. At first, being bald was the new look. It's been two months since I looked in the mirror and saw hair on my head. Now keeping bald means my head stays clean and tidy.  A day after shaving and my head itches. Rather like unshaved stubble on the face. So now my head needs a daily shave.

Then ... bald was a new striking appearance.
Now ... bald is about staying smart, clean and tidy.
