I mean, even after today, spending the extra 10+ minutes so, going a few passes over the top, diagonally, sideways, ATG, WTG...I still felt stubble on the top of my head literally 2-3 hours after.

That can't possibly be the fault of the actually headblade itself, but perhaps the blade cartridge, or the lather... I have noticed more and more, than the better lather I get, and the hotter my scalp is, the better the shave. And I've had a few blades lately that were dull straight out the pack and I got the 2 hour stubble as well. I have found I need to care for the cartridges a lot more than I do for my face razor.

Do you use the TripleBlade kit that the HB has or different blades? How often do you change them out?

For you guys who are feeling stubble after only two hours....I started using a brush based on the suggestion of a couple of other guys on this forum and for whatever reason, my shave lasted longer. Pre-brush I felt stubble after about six hours, now I feel smooth for up to twelve hours. You can use your regular shaving cream/soap, and for good measure, add in a few drops of Shave Secret (purchased at Wally World for about $4). Apply with brush and you may not need to make as many passes. Good Luck!

Just out of curiosity, what blades are you using?

Depending on time frame, I sometimes use my Fromm straight edge razor (purchased at Sally's) or sometimes I use a disposable Mach-3. If time allows, I occasionally use my Headblade but it just doesn't quite do the job alone (maybe I'm using it wrong..)

I use the headblade with sensor excel cartridges, they get much closer than the hb triples

Stick with the HB Baldchav, you'll get it. Take your time; shave with long, slow strokes, no pressure is needed on the blade end.
As far as blade cartridges, I've found that the Atra and Wilkinson Sword doubles work best for me. I have tried the Sensor's, and they just don't work well for me. It takes many more passes to get really close for some reason.

If you can find them where you are, the Wilkinson Sword double blade cartridges are a real value as well.

Walmart carry them in a 10 pack for under $4.
