English Class: Punctuation can be more dangerous than words....

(1/1)

Sir Harry:
A high school buddy of mine shared this with me I thought it was so good I'd thought I'd share (Stop me if you've heard it before)

In an English class at the local university, the professor asked the 30 students (15 of each gender) to punctuate the following sentence:

Woman without her man is nothing

The men wrote:  "Woman, without her man, is nothing."
The women wrote: "Woman: Without her, man is nothing."

Who says that punctuation can't make a difference?

-Doug-:
Good one!

Sir Harry:
Down the street at the high school, today was dress-down day: The principal wore a shirt that said "Punctuation is overrated". The English teacher then said that the shirt was stupid. 30 minutes later, the principal hung up a banner reading :"The principal says the English teacher is a moron" The English teacher then said "Nice banner!" It just needs a little decoration, do you mind? The principal said "not at all" When the English teacher finished her decorating, the banner then read: "The principal, says the English teacher, is a moron". Guess a little decorating went a long way on that one!
