Hello all.
I am a new head shaver, but not new to being bald. I am happy to have found this forum after being a member of Badger & Blade for the past five years. I have enjoyed my time there as well, especially since I finally learned to shave properly after 30 years of wearing a full beard due to the problems of being a black man with a natural tendency to ingrown hairs and razor bumps.
I have been naturally bald on top for about fifteen years or so, and I kept my 'horseshoe' very closely trimmed with clippers. Thanks to Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard), it wasn't that bad of a look. For the past five years or so I have used clippers to take it all the way down as close as they would allow. I also let a barber shave my head a few times a year with a straight and the feeling was like night and day compared to the clippers.
Once I found that I did not get any irritation from a real shave I decided to start doing it for myself about a month ago. Now I lather up my dome with my badger brush every other day after I shave my face. I use a DE razor for my face, but I shave my head with a Bump Fighter cartridge system. My results are really good, but I have a feeling that they will get even better with time.
Well that's about all I think of for right now. Sorry if I got a little long-winded for an intro post. Glad to be aboard.

Welcome. I believe that it is true. With time/experience in shaving your head bald, the smoothness increases and probably the shine, too.

Thanks for the warm welcomes.
I suspect that, just as it is with face shaving, there will be a lot of things to discover that will improve the head shaving experience for me.
