agree totally - got carried away with the trimmer before the first picture was posted. Leaving the beardlonger now and the mo' is untouched except for occasional stray whickers that won't cooperate. Think I'm going to try adding a couple notches to the beard trimmer each time I trim. Have had the beard for many winters buthave never let it get full, might be time to try that.

One thing I've noticed is that the 'stache is
definitely
a guy thing. Every comment has come from a guy, not a single word from any of the women I see regularly. Either they don't notice or, more likely, don't like it and are keeping quiet.

Realized I hadn't put up a new pic of the mo' in a bit. Here's one snapped this morning. Filling in nicely and gets alot of attention when I go out with it set up properly. And I'm still having fun with it.
I'll try for a better picture later.

If you trimmed the beard down properly and wore a black beret and glasses you could pull off Jamie Hyneman (from Myth Busters) no problem! Just sayin' you have options.

That's a great look. Do you know if the wax holds up in summer heat? If I was to go that route, it would have to stand up to our hot humid summer weather.

StC
there are a number of different waxes on the market and several I'm sure would survive a La summer.
I'm most partial to Bounder (online from the UK) since it remains a bit softer than most of the others - it also has a mild scent of vanilla and rum. NIce stuff. The good ones are all beeswax based so should be fine in the humid weather. And I've found that it will stay pretty well on its own (called "loose" ) once a bit of training gets done....the growth pattern of the whiskers actually shift given time and combing etc.
It's a fun switch and certainly a conversation starter...even more so than my shiny head.

Very impressive handlebar, Sailor. You look great with it!
I got my first order of Bounder today. It will be interesting to see it holds up.
