Just for general info this was passed by our United States Senate with a 93-7 margin.
I think I'm pretty safe in bringing this up as I am not attacking democrats or republicans, liberals or conservatives. But this seems to be some pretty scary stuff. George Orwell is turning over in his grave just so he can hear better.
Both my Wisconsin Senators voted Yea on this thing. So I'm wondering what good calling them is going to do.
Am I over-reacting? This sounds dangerously freaky to me. Has anybody else heard about this? Anybody researched it at all? I'm looking for somebody to help me stop the clanging inside my skull.
The prez has promised a veto on this. We'll see.

If this managed to get passed, I doubt it could survive a Supreme Court challenge. At least, I hope it wouldn't.

I won't get passed--freedom of the press will shine a bright light on the roaches in the dark kitchen called Congress and they will scatter! And this passes when they can't reach a civilized compromise on taxes and the budget, all the while raising obscene amounts of money for campaigns based on 30 second sound bits--and not cutting their congressional budgets one red cent. You older guys may remember what all this reminds me of, The Ted Mack Original Amateur Hour.

At least the Ted Mack show was entertaining.

Wasn't that the bill that was removed from the appropriations bill when the President promised a veto...?

I heard that he retracted his veto "promise". I read somewhere on the web that he actually "auto-penned" this abortion.
In this age of "The War On Terror" I don't have faith that the Supremes will rule this unconstitutional, either.

I wish there were more presidential candidates that would stand up against this. There are a couple though at least.
