Im a 22 year old university student and frequent runner/jogger. I had always had this idea of getting a summer buzz cut but could never work up the strength to do it. I have fairly long hair so it would have been a dramatic change. One day during my weekend run I couldn't shake this thought of getting my head shaved, so I finally threw in the towel. I changed my jogging route mid run to make a stop at the local barber. I was nervous as hell but excited to finally do it. It was my turn in the chair, 'here we go I thought'. I sat down and let him set everything up. Then the barber asked the question, 'What are we doing today?' and that's when the words spilled hazardously from my mouth. I just said 'shave it' and with that he was off. My mental picture was a short buzz cut but what I got was much, much different. I knew the moment I looked for a second in the mirror this was going to be an adventure. After a few short mins, I was capital B.A.L.D. I was a little shocked and surprised. I couldn't help but laugh at myself for a few short mins because I knew I would never be able to live this down. The rest of my run home and couldn't help but keep rubbing my head, it felt so strange and wasn't what I originally expected. I did have fun and might just do it again, this time being a little bit more specific.
Very interesting story. Sometimes what happens in the spur of the moment could turn out to be a welcome surprise. Happy new year

Oh it took some guts to do it. I was having second thoughts the entire time and almost backed out. That story is from a little bit ago, my hair has grown back a bit sense then. I've been toying with the idea of doing it again.
but you did it...
share some pics with us :>
It sounds like you enjoyed your adventure. If it felt liberating and made you feel good inside and out, sh*t fire and save your matches, why not go for it again? Good luck!
Do you really think that I should do it again? I've been messing around with the idea for a little bit.
Why not give it a go another time? You may decide that you like it.

Scratch the itch or the itch won't go away
. This time follow up with a thirty day trial of staying sly shaving every day--who knows where that could lead?
hmmmm still tempted but I've never done it myself before
